Well it looks like there is a break in the gorgeous weather we have been experiencing!! A couple of days of rain and fog will give Liberation a rest. Had a nice charter yesterday with an ER Doc from Austin (man I get a lot of clients from there!), beautiful wind, new sail loving it!! It's Monday and the weather is beautiful!! Great  charter yesterday with a fun couple from New York!! Their family included two black labs and a 3 month old baby!! Lots  and lots of wind!! Everyone did great and we had a fine time. My next charter will be all in French as some folks from Montreal are sailing with me. Well we got our sail in yesterday and what a sail it was!! I had a group from Texas that needed some cooling off from the upper 90s where they live. They were the first to see the new sail that I have been waiting to break out. It is gorgeous!!! Thank you Bohndel Sailmakers!! Let the 2014 sailing season begin!

Yes indeed, the 2014 season is upon us!!! Liberation will be launched on the Monday the 16th and the mast will be stepped the following day. I will sail the boat over to Camden that same day and clean and load on Wednesday. The rest of the week I will wrapping things up at the High School and by the weekend of the 20th I am ready to do charters. Call to make a reservation at 207-542-1908!!

Captain Don

The weather has been great!! Cool off in 80 degree temperatures on a charter with Captain Don. The wind has been perfect, the wildlife is everywhere and the Captain is working on his comedy routine!!! Seriously though, on a charter last week, we spotted two huge bald eagles standing next to each other on a ledge. They looked like decoys until their heads moved!! Seals are everywhere and the porpoises are starting to appear. All this plus the sighting of Atlantic puffins a few weeks ago has made for a great start to the season if you like seeing wildlife!! Ahoy!!!!!  Well the girls and I had a wonderful 5 days on our cruise and I am now ready to take you all out sailing!!! The boat behaved very well, all systems are go!! Oh and speaking of wildlife (seals not Terrin), the girls and I saw 3 atlantic puffins on our cruise, so cute!! I've been sailing these waters for over 34 years now and had never seen a puffin!!
