Ahoy again sailors!!! Just a quick update on the sailing season here on Penobscot Bay!! This past Saturday, I took a really nice family from New Hampshire to the Island of Vinylhaven. It was really blowing and the wind was out of the North West, so it was downwind all the way. Once we tucked into Ledbetters Narrows, we were in the protection of the islands. It was smooth sailing with harbor seal lounging on the rocks, islands all around us and flat seas, wow!!! We sailed into the fishing port called Carvers Harbor where we were the only sailboat. The sail home, (solo and upwind) was fun as I kept my eyes peeled for whales. Another charter with some locals on Sunday to celebrate a birthday was met by sunny skies and a nice breeze. Sound fun? Well Columbus Day weekend is coming up and I am available to take you sailing. This is almost the last hurrah, so call 207-542-1908!!!
